Car Detailing is luxury car care, it is the art and science that goes into perfecting and protecting your automotive investment. Simply, it is to bring out your car’s best colour. It is the care and attention a car detailer pays your car, inside and out.

Detailing can be done by a professional detailing service or by the owner of the vehicle. It is generally considered a more detailed and systematic approach to car care than a typical wash and wax at your local car wash.

How long does it take?

Car detailing times can vary depending on the condition of the vehicle, your package and services chosen.

What’s the difference between detailing and valeting?

Detailing and valeting are two different processes that are used to clean and maintain vehicles.

Car detailing involves a more detailed and systematic approach to taking care of a car, van, motorhome or bike. It includes a wide range of services such as washing, decontaminating, steam cleaning, hoovering, machine polishing, waxing, ceramic coating and paint protection film.

Detailing is typically a more intensive and time-consuming process than valeting, and often involves restoration and repair of paintwork, plastic, headlights, wheels, leather and fabric.

Valeting typically involves less time spent taking care of a vehicle, and is therefore a cheaper option to car detailing. The biggest difference between detailing and valeting is where detailing often includes repair and restoration, valeting focuses on washing and waxing.

In summary, detailing is a more intensive and comprehensive process that is used to restore or prepare a vehicle for sale, while valeting is a quicker process that is used to maintain the cleanliness of a vehicle on an ongoing basis.

What is Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic Coating is a semi-permanent shield that bonds on a molecular level with your vehicle’s paint surface, introducing a crystal-clear barrier between your paintwork and nature. The Coating fills in microscopic gaps and crevices in paintwork, forming a surface more effective than traditional wax and sealant based products.

What does it protect against?

There is a common misconception about what exactly ceramic coating can and cannot protect your vehicle against. Let’s start with some common misconceptions

• Ceramic Coating will not make your car bulletproof – if this is something you require, we recommend contacting Q Branch
• It will not protect your vehicle against scratches and dents caused by collisions
• Stone chips are unfortunately inevitable, and there isn’t a ceramic coating available that will protect your paintwork when it happens

However, once fully cured, Ceramic Coating will protect against:

• Light scratches and swirl marks
• Sunlight and UV rays
• Ice and snow
• Acid rain
• Bird lime
• Solvents

Ceramic Coating is not a replacement for proper maintenance and a good washing routine, but its self-cleaning properties will help keep your car cleaner for longer and make washing easier.

Why does my car need detailing?

Over time your vehicle will accumulate Dirt and contamination from the road and other outside influences. This will eventually lead to your car looking tired and not how you remember it! Whilst valets do offer a quick clean; they do not remove bonded contamination and restore your paintwork. We will get your car back to a new standard and then protect it. Either with our waxes or, the ultimate paint protection, Ceramic Coating.

What is included in Car Detailing?

We begin by discussing the vehicle with each and every customer, reviewing the customer’s wants and needs from the detail, and an initial paintwork inspection. Once advice has been given, and we have agreed on a protection product, we move on to stage one.

Stage one – involves a full wash of the vehicle removing and loose dirt and debris with a Snow Foam Prewash; we use various wash mitts, brushes, and products to ensure the vehicle’s surface is clean.

Stage two – then moves into the decontamination stage. Using a combination of Fallout Remover, Tar & Glue Remover, and clay, we ensure that even the microscopic dirt embedded into the paint pores is fully removed ready for machine polishing.

Stage three – the vehicle is dried using warm air and premium microfibre towels to reduce inflicting damage into the paint; the vehicle is then driven indoors.

Whilst indoors, the vehicle is subject to a full inspection highlighting any paint defects, scratches, and etchings to ensure a plan of attack.

Now begins the machine polishing. We always use the least aggressive combination of pads and polishes to ensure only the minimum amount of correction is complete for the desired result.

Once machine polishing is complete, the car is given a full IPA wipe down, removing any oils or polish residue from the surface before your protection is applied. This ensures full adhesion by the coatings offering greater longevity.

Application of the protection begins; glass, wheels, and plastics are all treated to protection, ensuring that all surfaces are covered.

We also offer upgrades to your services such as alloy wheel and caliper ceramic coating, Glass Coating, interior protection & engine bay dressings.

Our new car detail is thorough, and as such, we will require the vehicle for a minimum of 2 days.
